Kabul (BNA) Unknown shot dead the provincial chief prosecutor for eastern Paktia province in capital Kabul late on Thursday night.
Mujibullah Rahman, an Afghan lawmaker in the Lower House of the Parliament from Paktia province, said Najibullah Sultanzoi was shot dead outside his home in Kabul city.
Rahman further added that the gunmen opened fire on Sultanzoi after he answered a knock at the door of his home. The Taliban militants group claimed responsibility behind the assassination of Mr. Sultanzoi. The assassination of Paktia chief prosecutor comes as the Taliban militants launched two deadly attacks on the Afghan Attorney General Office employees during the past ten days.
