Kabul (BNA) US President, Barack Obama congratulated president Karzai and his family for his new born girl, after then, some key issue had also been discussed between the two leaders, a statement said. Both sides renewed their Lisbon conference commitment on security transition from the international troops to the Afghan forces by the end of 2014. The two leaders also discussed creating a powerful Afghan security force, enforcement of the national sovereignty as well as the responsibility of the international forces to adopt supportive charge of the Afghan forces to fully take security of their country by their in 2013. A memorandum of cooperation was also discussed to be set during the upcoming negotiations to remove the concerns on the nighttime operation and house searches. Concerns of the Afghan president on presence of the foreign forces in the villages of Afghanistan would also be removed, both sides assured. Obama also said he was waiting for arrival of President Karzai in the NATO member countries in the upcoming May Chicago conference, at the threshold of which the two leaders would discuss the next phase of security transition along with the NATO and ISAF. The two countries leaders also vowed to stage close contact with each other.
