Taliqan (BNA) Special forces, in cooperation with the security and defense forces and the popular uprisings, pushed back the armed Taliban attack from the outskirts of Taliqan with heavy blows.
Takhar police spokesman told BNA that members of special forces entered the city of Taliqan in cooperation with the country’s air force and worked with troops stationed in Takhar to suppress the Taliban.
According to the source, with the recapture of Bangi district, the Taliban fled the area with casualties and security and defense forces are advancing.
Another report says, an armed Taliban attack in the Taleh and Barfak districts of Baghlan province was repulsed.
Abdul Manaf, security chief of Taleh and Barfak district of Baghlan, told BNA that last night the Taliban attacked on Taleh and Barfak district of Baghlan, which were faced with sever resistance of security troops and Taliban with heavy casualties fled the area.
