US Embassy Cooperates With MoIC In Public Awareness On Mines’ Dangers

Kabul (BNA) US embassy in Kabul will extend its cooperation with Ministry of Information and Culture in public awareness section related to dangers of roadside mines.
According to BNA, in a meeting held between deputy of publications for MoIC Simeen Hasanzada and US embassy official for public awareness section, MoIC’s future programs of public awareness related to dangers of IEDs were discussed.
Both sides exchanged views related to extension of public awareness programs to people from dangers of roadside mines and discussed particular points in this regard.
They reached to a conclusion that widespread instructions and publicity should be launched to people about suspicious things and incase of facing with suspicious thing, they should contact 119 police department for help.
It was also decided that people should be aware of dangers of roadside mines through private and government media, billboards, mosques, schools and local elders.
It is worth mentioning that public awareness section of US embassy to Kabul will help MoIC in various public awareness programs from dangers of roadside mines and other explosives devices.
It is determined that a MoU will be soon signed between Ministry of Information and Culture and US embassy to Kabul.
