Washington (BNA) The US defense ministry or Pentagon has sought $80 billion for the war in Afghanistan in 2014, BNA reported yesterday.
Pentagon’s spokesman George Little talking journalists yesterday said that the amount is 10 percent less than the budget of 2013 which is 87.2 billion US dollars.
President Barack Obama on Friday announced 10 percent reduction in the expenditure in Afghan war.
Presently some 63,000 American troops are stationed in Afghanistan and 34,000 of them will leave by the end of 2013.
The combat mission of US troops to be end by the end of 2014.
