KABUL (BNA): Sheikh Hamdullah Numani, the Acting Urban Development and Housing Minister, met with a Qatari delegation from the charitable foundation Al-Gharafa and discussed cooperation in the housing sector in Afghanistan.
The Qatari representatives expressed their commitment to timely and constructive actions to address the problems of returnees and earthquake victims in Afghanistan.
Numani mentioned the progress of a housing project in Khushal Khan area of Kabul, which is carried out by a Qatari company.
Numani asked the Qatari delegation to play a positive role in housing construction and economic development in Afghanistan. He also requested Al-Gharafa Foundation to collaborate with the ministry in building homes for returnees from neighboring countries.
The Qatari representatives promised to coordinate with the ministry’s officials and start the second phase of their project in Khushal Khan area soon.
