Minister Delawar Discuss Economic Development and Encourage Skilled Professionals’ Return

 

KABUL(BNA): The acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, in a promising meeting with the Minister of Communications and information Technology of the previous administration, reaffirmed that Afghanistan embraces all its citizens and encourages the return of skilled professionals and experienced individuals, acknowledging their vital role in fostering the country’s development and prosperity.

In a pivotal meeting, Sheikh al-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, the acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, convened with Amirzai Sangin, the former Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Gul Rahman Qazi, head of the Independent Commission for Overseeing the Implementation of Constitution ( ICOIC).

During this meeting, Delawar provided insights into various matters, particularly the current security situation, the achievements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan over the past two years, and the activities of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.

Moreover, he asserted that Afghanistan possesses abundant mineral resources, underscoring the timely opportunities to propel the nation towards economic prosperity and advancement.

The Acting Minister also discussed ongoing mining contracts, with a particular emphasis on key projects such as Mes Aynak copper mine, Zenda Jan cement in Herat, Shor Andam in Kandahar, and Jabal Saraj. Additionally, he addressed initiatives within Afghanistan’s oil and gas sectors, emphasizing that their processing will be entirely conducted within the country.

Subsequently, Amirzai Sangin, offered glowing praise for the ministry’s remarkable strides and achievements, applauding the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for not only ensuring stability and security but also facilitating a vibrant atmosphere ripe for employment opportunities and investment expansion across Afghanistan.
