Expansion of Knowledge Can Save The Country From Backwardness, Khalili

Kabul (BNA) The rector of Dunya University met with Mohammad Karim Khalili second vice-president.
According to presidential press office, at this meeting Ahmad Shah Sangdel on behalf of the founder of the university, the lecturers and the students thanked Khalili for his active participation at the graduation ceremony of the university students.
He called the address of Khalili at the ceremony encouraging for the young generation for taking more interest in gaining education.
He asked Khalili to introduce 30 students to the university who despite their talents cannot pursue education due to the economic problems to be enrolled at the university free of any charges and enter into the BA program of this educational institution. He estimated the fees for the education of 30 students at around USD180,000.
He added that the UMF University of Swiss has started its Masters’ Degree program in Afghanistan and Dunya University intends to launch PHD program in Afghanistan and it wishes government support in this respect.
Khalili appreciated the positive performance of Dunya University and called it as a successful educational institution in the country.
Touching on the society’s needs for scientific cadres Khalili said that expansion of science and knowledge can save the country from backwardness.
He added that the government of Afghanistan has supported and encouraged the youth for higher education and as the youth by getting education take distance from the ugly social phenomenon, by attaining knowledge they can take the country towards progress.
