KANDAHAR CITY (BNA) A military operation under the title of Martyred Gen. Abdul Raziq ongoing in various parts of southern Kandahar province.
The military operation has been started three days ago by participation of hundreds Afghan national army and Afghan national policemen with support of air forces in different parts of Kandahar province.
Senior commander of Afghan national army in the south of the country told BNA correspondent, 30 armed oppositions were killed, dozens were wounded and 14 hideouts belonging to the terrorists have demolished during the military operation so far.
The military operation has started on the occasion of 1st martyrdom anniversary of Gen. Abdul Raziq former police chief of Kandahar province.
General Abdul Raziq have shot dead by a suicide attacker at 18 October 2018 after a formal ceremony held in headquarter of Kandahar’s provincial governor’s office.
Taliban fighters has been taken responsibility of the incident.
