Kabul (BNA) At least 13 Taliban militants were killed and 10 others were wounded following security forces operations conducted jointly by Afghan national security forces.
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) following a statement said the operations were conducted in the past 24 hours in Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Maidan-Wardak, Khost, Paktika and Nimroz provinces.
The statement further added Afghan National Police conducted the several joint operations with Afghan National Army and NDS to clean some of the areas from terrorists and enemies of peace and stability of Afghanistan.
At least three insurgents were also arrested by Afghan National Security Forces, MoI said, adding that Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated 5 anti-vehicle mines from relevant areas of Kandahar and Ghazni province during the operations. T. Suraya-Yarzada
