Shaberghan City (BNA) The foundation stone of Shaberghan city’s jail the provincial capital of northern Jawzjan province was laid by Abdul Halim Kohistani head of the jail with presence of governor and police chief of the province yesterday.
Col. Mohammad Nabi Mateen manager of Shaberghan jail told BNA, the building of the jail will be constructed on 20 acres of land at the cost of 5 million Afghanis from development budget of ministry of interior within the next 2 years.
The jail building contains 20 blocks, dining room, place for training of prisoners, administrative rooms, detention center, waiting place and meeting location, Mateen added.
It has been said, at the same time, 870 inmates including 48 women are imprisoned in Shaberghan jail.
