Mujahid: No More Allowing to Turn Historical Sites into Private Property

KABUL (BNA) Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and deputy minister of information and culture, said special attention would be paid to the protection of all historical sites and monuments.

The statement have made by Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and Deputy Minister of Information and Culture, in an exclusive interview with BNA correspondent in Helmand.

He said “Mawlawi Khairullah Khairkhwa, Minister of Information and Culture, Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister of Culture and Arts, and Mullah Faizullah Tamim, Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, had come to Helmand to pay an official visit to many of the province’s historical monuments. and have serious recommendations to the relevant authorities regarding the protection of cultural heritage and historical castles.

Mujahid stated that the Islamic Emirate is taking serious steps to protect the historical monuments, and said that he has asked the international community to restore the historical sites and many international organizations have promised to protect the historical monuments from destruction.

He added: “No one will be allowed to occupy, seize and attack historical sites.”

Its Must be said that there are 3 historical castles in Helmand, 4 of which are in Lashkar Gah, the capital.
