JALALABAD CITY (BNA) Two members of ISIS terrorist group’s citizens of Pakistan were arrested by Afghan security forces in eastern Nangarhar province.
Ataullah Khogynai spokesperson of Nangarhar governor told BNA reporter, the Pakistani nationals along with their hand weapons have been arrested by Afghan security forces in relevant areas of Momand Dara district of the province.
The arrested ISIS fighters in their primary investigation confessed to that they had active role in dozens terrorists and destructive activities within the last three years in Nangarhar province.
By launching military operation and increasing air and group attacks of Afghan security forces on ISIS’ hideouts in Nangarhar, the terrorist group sustained heavy losses.
According to released figure, about 1000 ISIS adherents along with their families have been surrendered to government within the last six months in Nangarhar province.
