Kabul (BNA) Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met the other day with European Union ambassadors to Afghanistan.
According to presidential press office to BNA, in the meeting held at president palace, European Union ambassadors to Kabul congratulated Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai on the occasion of formation of national unity government and his election as Afghanistan president. Extension of Afghanistan relations with European Union countries in various sectors was discussed in the meeting. The European Union ambassadors praised the new government for adopting measures related to counter corruption and maintaining security in Afghanistan, asserting that relations of European Union countries and their cooperation and assistance to Afghanistan would continue. The country’s President spoke related to measures to be adopted by Afghanistan government in future for good governance and improvement of political, security and economic condition of the country. Dr. Ashraf Ghani praised European Union for cooperation and assistance to Afghanistan in the past 13 years, asking for further cooperation of the union under framework of organized programs and based on priorities of Afghanistan government.
