Sardar Jan Khan Masjed Rehabilitated

Kabul (BNA) Minister of Information and Culture, Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen inaugurated Sardar Jan Khan Masque of the old Kabul city, BNA reported. 
In a meeting attended by the presidential cultural advisor, Zalmai Hewadmal, head of historical monuments, Abdul Ahad Abbasi, head and influential figures of the district, Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen briefed in the inauguration ceremony as saying that the masque was from the oldest worship place built by Sardar Jan Khan, one of the countries great personality in the era of Ahmad Shah Durrani and Timor Shah.  Sardar Mohammad Jan Khan had offered great services among them, building the holy masque which had built with high delicacy and would also be reconstructed in same type.  Head of the historical relics, Abdul Ahad Abbasi said that the work project of the mosque had been started in Juza this year the fund of which had been paid by the ministry of information and culture development budget and had been rebuilt considering its previous type architect. 
A Kabul citizen, Ghulam Sakhi lauded the efforts of the ministry of information and culture in reconstruction of the masque that had the capacity of up to 200 prayers in one time and the street of which was said to be asphalted and the Kabul power department had also been asked to pay attention in illumination of the newly reconstructed mosque.
