Dozens Taliban Rebels Joined Peace Process In Sar-e-Pul

Sar-e-Pul City (BNA) Over 62 armed oppositions laid down their hand weapons and joined peace forces in northern Sar-e-Pul province yesterday.
Mohammad Zaher Wahdat governor of Sar-e-Pul told BNA reporter, the joined militants have submitted a gun machine (Dehshaka), three rocket launchers, four PK gun machines, 45 Kalashnikovs, eight different type of weapons and some other military equipment to government.
With joining of them to peace process 26 villages in Sheram region of the province have been cleared from existences of Taliban militants, Wahdat added.
During the current year about 100 armed oppositions laid down their hand weapons and joined peace process in Sar-e-Pul province, the source concluded.
