Leading Political Parties to Form a Coalition Government in Pakistan

KABUL (BNA): Leading political parties in Pakistan announced to form a coalition government after no single party managed to secure an absolute majority in the recent elections.

Shahbaz Sharif, the brother of Muslim League leader Nawaz Sharif and former Prime Minister, has met with Bilawal Bhutto, the leader of the Pakistan People’s Party. They have agreed to form a coalition government.
However, Imran Khan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf Party, which backed candidates who won the majority of seats, claims that they have secured more seats than the announced results suggest.

They allege that the process was manipulated. It’s important to note that the Tehreek-e-Insaf Party does not have official status in these elections, and the seats were won by candidates they supported.

In these elections, the two official parties, the Muslim League and the People’s Party, have consistently been leading. This could potentially result in the formation of a coalition government.
