KABUL (BNA) Mawlavi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, the Country’s Acting Minister of National Defense, met with Ilham Mammadov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan, at the Azerbaijani embassy in Kabul.
The meeting emphasized the deep-rooted friendship and shared interests between the two nations.
During the discussion, Minister Mujahid expressed his pride in the enduring bond between the people of Afghanistan and Azerbaijan.
He commended the reopening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Kabul as a positive step, symbolizing a renewed commitment to strengthening ties.
The minister emphasized the desire to initiate economic, commercial, and other sectors of cooperation with Azerbaijan at the earliest opportunity, with the goal of further consolidating their longstanding relationship.
Ambassador Mammadov reciprocated the sentiments expressed by Minister Mujahid, stating that Azerbaijan is fully prepared to expand cooperation with the Islamic Emirate and the Afghan people.
