29 Armed Oppositions Killed in Faryab Air Raid

Maimana (BNA) 29 armed oppositions including two Iranian insurgents were killed in Faryab province last night.
Mohammad Hanif Rezaee Shaheen 209 army corps spokesman told BNA, the insurgents were killed in clash and air raids of Afghan security forces while they stormed on a convoy of security forces in highways of Shirintagab and Khwaja Sabzpolsh district of that province.
Two Iranian insurgents, two local commanders of Taliban and responsible of Taliban military commission for Khwaja Sabzposh district were also among the dead.
He further added, 23 armed oppositions were also hurt.
Rezaee added, four militaries were wounded in the events as well.
According to another report, the national and defense forces conducting clearing operations in various parts of the country killed 20 Taliban rebels.
National defense ministry press office told BNA, the security forces in the last 24 hours carried out clearing operations in various parts of the country , in which 20 armed Taliban were killed, 10 wounded and a suspect has been detained.
The operations with support of air forces conducted in Nangarhar, Kunar, Kapisa, Paktika, Daikundi, Urozgan, Zabul, Farah, Faryab, Kunduz, Badakhshan and Helmand provinces.
