MoFA’s Condolence Message Over Landslide In Badakhshan

Kabul (BNA) With deep grief and sadness over shocking and depressed landslide in Argo district of Badakhshan province where nearly 3000 people have lost their lives and more than 3000 others have been forced to leave their homes, Ministry of Foreign Affairs is offering deep condolence and sympathy to all people of Afghanistan and survivors of the shocking incident and a session held with participation of administrative panel of the ministry for sympathizing and participating in aid to affected families in the incident.
In the session, it was decided that one day salary of the ministry’s employees working inside and outside of the country would be collected in an exclusive bank account for aid to affected families and would be granted to the families through an aid organization.
Meanwhile, it was approved in the session that a working group of the ministry would closely cooperate with national disaster management authority headed by second vice president Mohammad Karim Khalili for further coordination in aid process to the affected families. It is worth mentioning the ministry has instructed all political representatives to outside of the country to take necessary steps for coordination and participation in aid process to the affected people. Also, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will spare no efforts for aid process to the affected people and will put it in its work priority.
Currently, a large number of friendly countries have declared condolence and preparations for aid to the affected families through their political representatives to Kabul.
