Afghan Handicrafts Should Be Revived: Hassanzada

Kabul (BNA) The deputy information and culture minister for publication affairs, Seemin Hassanzada on Tuesday called for reviving of handicrafts in Afghanistan.
According to BNA correspondent, she made the call during a visit to the center of Afghanistan’s Handicrafts and besides talking with the men and women working there said that developing handicrafts is important for the development of the country’s economy.
Afghanistan’s handicrafts introduce the culture of the country, she said, adding the handicrafts produced in the country once were popular in the world but due t protracted instability it has been gradually lost its place at the markets.
The official also urged the concerned government entities to support handicrafts in the country.
In their tales with Hassanzada, the artisans including men, women and youths requested the ministry for information and culture to find marketing opportunity for handicrafts products.
