Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai received for a consultative meeting with some imams of mosques and preachers of mosques of Kabul province to discuss with them the forthcoming presidential election and obtain their views in this respect.
The participants of this meeting expressed their views about the consolidation of peace and stability and other issues in the following manner.
When the Afghan religious leaders are expressing their views they are being followed and disturbed with varying mean, we want the special attention of the president over this issue.
We are against the logical police and militia forces and see them harmful for Afghanistan, and there is need that the money and the equipment and other possibilities of these forces should be allocated for the national army and the national police.
In order to maintain peace and stability if there is need for changes in the constitution we shall support it.
We ask for addressing the files of the religious Ulama in the prisons of the country through an impartial commission.
