Aziz Ghaznawi Laid To Rest

Kabul (BNA) The renowned signer Aziz Ghaznnawi who passed away at the age of 63 was laid to rest in Shahid Arab cemetery yesterday.
In the funeral of late Ghaznawi, the popular signer of RTA, in addition to the family members and friends, officials with the ministry of information and culture attended.
Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen the minister for Information and culture in his condolence message readout by his advisor Jalal Noorani said, “We have lost numerous valuable elements in the fields of press and arts over the past more than year which includes Mahmood Habibi, Shah Zaman Wariz, Ahsan Atil, Zahir Huwida, Ustad Hamahang and famous poet Hastif and today we are burying the famous artist and faithful man Aziz Ghaznawi”.
In his message, Dr. Raheen besides expressing sympathy with the family and friends of late Ghaznawi also prayed may Almighty Allah rest the departed soul to eternal peace. 
Managing director of RTA, Zarin Anzoir also spoke on the occasion and described the late Ghazawi as popular artist, saying his songs had been kept in RTA achieve is a valuable assets of the people of Afghanistan. 
Hayat Gardezi the head of artists association also spoke on the occasion.  Reading the biography of late Ghaznawi, Mohammad Qasim  Ramishgar said that late Ghaznawi was born in Ghazni and after graduation from Habibia Lycee, had joined Radio Afghanistan and worked in different capacity including general manager of music in the department.
Hayatullah the son of late Ghaznawi in his speech thanked the participants for their sympathy.
The Fatiha Khawani or memorial service for late Ghazni is being held in Quaiti Mosque, Khair Khana from 01:30 pm to 03:30 pm on Saturday.
