“Counter-Corruption, Ensuring Elections Security A Priority”: Daudzai

Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Omar Daudzai Minister of Interior met with General Austin General Commander of US Central Forces in presence of General Danford General Commander of NATO forces in Afghanistan and US ambassador to Kabul, both sides discussed further expansion of bilateral ties. 
According to BNA correspondent, Daudzai expressing thanks over the world community’s aid to Afghanistan in the past 12 years said that the national police of Afghanistan with the support of world community especially with the US cooperation have attained high combat ability and now they are ensuring the security of the country independently.
Touching on the work priority of the ministry he said that counter-corruption and ensuring security of election is a priority of the interior ministry and the ministry has good gains in this respect.
He added that the national police forces have full readiness for ensuring the security of the electoral sites, candidates’ electoral campaigns, the presidential and provincial councils’, chairman and members of the independent election commission, the voters and monitors.
