Pointing to the ministry’s amendment and development plan, President Ghani said the ongoing changes were rational but not sufficient, adding that all appointments in the ministry should be exam- based and done based on precision assessment and full transparency. “I want a ministry that should be small from point of structure, but effective, helpful and completely impartial,” President Ghani said, adding that the ministry of education should not focus on its structure, but it should focus on its programs in all provinces. Asserting that the law should be changed to policy and modified in case of need, the country’s President said problems within the ministry should be identified and clear strategy should be created to address the problems, adding no individual has the right to be in one post more than three years President Ghani expressed unhappiness over current curriculum of the ministry as it did not respond the students’ needs, stressing that principal changes should be brought in education curriculum.
