We Equally Try To Safeguard Historic Monuments In Copper Mine And Explore Minerals To Build Economy, Khalili

Kabul (BNA) The deputy to ministry of information and culture Sayed Musadiq Khalili has said since 2009 the Afghan archeologists in coordination with foreign experts have been working in Misi Aynak area of Aynak Copper Mine in Logar to safeguard artifacts and shift them to the national museum in Kabul.
He also noted that there is giant stupa of Buddha and the authorities are trying to take them to other place very safely.
He also said that Afghanistan in addition to safeguarding its historic monuments would also try to explore its minerals and underground treasures to build its economy.
He made this remarks in the wake of a report released by the New York Times recently which stated that.” Afghanistan government for its short term income victimizes its cultural heritage”, BNA reported, citing the New York Times.
The New York Times, according to BNA, had also written that China is destroying the center of Buddhism civilization in Aynal and Washington which had condemned the destruction of giant Buddhas by Taliban is simply looking at, BNA added.” Afghanistan in addition to safeguard its historic monuments would also try to explore its minerals and underground treasures to build its economy,” quoted Musadiq Khalili BNA as saying.
He also stated that Afghanistan besides safeguarding its historic sites would also explore its minerals for improving its economic conditions.
