Urban Development Minister Nomani Meets Chinese Ambassador, Discusses Bilateral Ties and Investment Opportunities


KABUL(BNA): During a productive meeting, with Chinese Ambassador Zhao Xing, the acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Sheikh Hamdullah Nomani, emphasized that China’s aid and investment in Afghanistan will further strengthen the relations between the two countries.

In recent diplomatic efforts, the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing released a statement today, May 28, highlighting the meeting between Sheikh Hamdullah Nomani and Ambassador Zhao Xing in Kabul, where they discussed various topics.

In the meeting, the acting Minister provided a comprehensive update on the progress of the Neela Bagh housing project and requested that the Chinese side encourage Chinese investors to invest in the New Kabul City project.

Ambassador Zhao Xing stated that he had discussed the quality and pace of the Neela Bagh housing project with the relevant company and expressed hope that the project would be completed on schedule.

Emphasizing the importance of ongoing projects, he described the Neela Bagh project as valuable and assured that efforts would be made to implement the remaining sections.

The Ambassador further expressed confidence that completing key projects in Afghanistan would lead to increased investment, marking a positive start for the future of both countries.
