Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani talked yesterday to governors of 34 provinces in particular related to complete eradication of polio and holding entry test through video conference in National Tawheed Center.
First, advisor to president on political affairs and envoy to president on polio eradication Najibullah Mujadidi and minister of public health Dr. Ferozuddin Feroz reported in connection with national process of polio eradication and implementation of polio vaccination across the country.
Minister of public health added that they had necessary preparation to vaccine all returned children under five and informed of a serious plan for complete eradication of polio until the end of 2017.
Afterwards, chief executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah by praising ministries of higher education and public health for achievements and steps in this regard said there should be no interferences in entry test which was a national process.
Pointing to eradication of polio across the country, chief executive said the national unity government was committed to pave better ways for implementation of polio vaccination programs in the country.
In his speech, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani praised governors in particular those participating in frontline of battlefield for better management of war.
Pointing to possible natural incidents in future, the country’s President told governors that weather forecast have shown that floods would flow in a number of areas of the country; therefore, prior measures should be adopted in this regard.
President Ghani further said that relevant ministries should hold regular sessions under the direct supervision of chief executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah to counter polio virus and find better ways to fight the respective virus, adding that districts threatened by polio virus should be identified and security forces were to maintain security of the respective areas.
