15 Historical Monuments Newly Registered in Parwan

Kabul (BNA) With registration of new fifteen historical monuments in Parwan, the number of these monuments has been reached to 40. According to the head of department of culture and tourism of Parwan province Sayed Saboor Mehdi, the historical monuments which are registered newly in this province are belong to 70 till 2000 years ago. Bazaar-i-Mesgari,(Tinsmith Bazaar), Bazaar-i-Aahangaran, (Ironsmith Bazaar), masjed-i-Aahangaran,(Iron smith mosque), Huffa-i-Khwajaha, Houz-i-Lukhha, Guzar-i-Charsoo, Bazaar-i-Kohna-i-Charikar, (Charikar old Bazaar), Bazaar-i-Chermgari, (leather Bazaar), Aughurha-i-Sangi, (Sand mortars), Daramsal, Ziarat or shrine of Shahmast-i-Qalandar, Ziarat-i-Baba Mir Sangi, Qala-i-Jangi, Toup Dara and Pul-i-Mir Alam (Mir Alam bridge) are newly registered and are located in capital city of this province. But he says that Kafer Qala is a monument that is newly registered and is located at Jabul Saraj, the district of Parwan province. Mehdi said that after studies of the department of information and culture, the historical sites and monuments are registered one month before. As of one year to date, he is working as the head of culture and tourism in Parwan province. Mehdi continued that based on non-attention of incharges concerned especially the weakness of information and culture department of the province, these monuments are not registered so far.
According to him, previously too, 25 historical monuments are registered at the information and culture department of this province. Based on information of the department of information and culture of Parwan province, Stupa of Toup Dara, Puza-i-Aushtorak Stupa, Shrine of Char Peer-i-Hazer, Cheshma Khana-i- Parwan, Imam Aazam (MGBPWH), Takht-i-Mir Gul, tomb of Bibi Ughuri, shrine of Khwaja Sabs Posh-i-Wali, garden of Reeg-i-Khwaja Sayaraan and Daulat Shahi Fort are the monuments registered at the center of the province. Likewise, the source added that the Arg of Jabul Saraj, historical tower of jabul Saraj, Sang-i-Khwaher and brother, Sang-i-Aaqtash of Bebe Nekzan region, Aashaba Bridge, Pahlawan Bridge and caves of Gulbahar are the monuments that are registered previously at Jabul Saraj district of Parwan province. According to this department, Kafer Qala, Ahdullah Tower and surrounding areas of Pahlawan Koh, with having seven Buddhism Temples in Bagram, Ghous village and Soil pools in Salang district, blessing place of Fundaqistan in Siagerd district, Garm Cheshma (Warm spring) of Ghorband in Sheikh Ali of this province are the monuments that are registered previously.
Sayed Saboor Mehdi continued that some monuments of the province such as Arg of Jabul Saraj are in need of rehabilitation. He said that the department of information and culture of this province is making effort to provide financial possibilities for rehabilitation of these historical monuments.  The building of Arg of Jabul Saraj is built during the reign of Amir Habibullah Khan in 1907 that is named as Saraj-ul-Ihsar and till the reign of king Amanullah was used as royal quarters. He continued that the historical building of Arg of Jabul Saraj is located at the center of Jabul Saraj district of Parwan province that is demolished within three decades civil wars. According to deputy minister for cultural affairs of the Ministry of Information and  Culture, Mussadiq Khalili, 5000 historical sites and 1400 historical monuments are registered in Afghanistan that are existed at the ministry of information and culture. But he added that there are some historical monuments in Afghanistan as well that didn’t registered so far.  Similarly, according to a source, 80000 historical relics are existed in museum of Kabul.
