Blast Took the Lives of Two Civilians
Pul-e-Khomri (BNA) Two civilians lost their lives in an explosion in the central Baghlan district of Baghlan after noon yesterday.
Sayed Kamal Wardak, Baghlan-e-Markazi district governor, told BNA that the blast took place near the house of Khajeh Baba, the former mayor of Baghlan-e-Markazi district, in Gadanai village in central Baghlan.
According to the source, the blast killed Nasreen Sotoda, a former parliamentary candidate, and the sister of Simin Barakzai, a member of the House of Representatives, along with Khawaja Baba, the former mayor of central Baghlan.
The district governor of Baghlan-e-Markazi said that Khajeh Baba’s men opened fire after the blast, killing a local civilian.
He explained the cause of the incident as personal animosity and said that so far no group or individual has claimed responsibility for the incident.
