Seminar On Fighting Crimes Held

Kabul (BNA) A seminar on how to fight crimes was held in Interior Ministry for police officials fighting crimes, BNA reported.
Held with the support of European Union police and attended by police officials from center and provinces, Deputy to Interior Ministry, Abdul Rahman Rahman said in his opening remarks that holding such seminars is important for capacity building and improving professionalism of police to curb crimes in the society.
Thanking the European Union police, Rahman said that European Union Police have hugely supported the Afghan National Police (ANP) over the past 15 years.
Speaking at the seminar, head of criminal department of interior ministry, Sayed Abdul Ghafar Sayedzada said that based on the law, each personnel of police is responsible to identify crimes and those involved in criminal activities.
Other officials including Jalal Jalal of Attorney General Office and Hekmat Shahi of human rights spoke at the seminar and stressed for ensuring justice and transparency in cases.
