Kabul (BNA) Afghan National Army (ANA) forces launching clearing operations killed 72 armed rebels, defense ministry said.
Defense ministry press office told BNA, ANA forces conducted the operations to eliminate armed militants in Nangarhar, Ghazni, Khak-e-Jabar, Paktia, Kunduz, Dykundi, Faryab, Jawzjan and Helmand provinces in which 72 armed militants were killed, 29wounded and another arrested.
Following the operations an amount of heavy and light weapons, and military equipment seized.
According to another report, 12 ANA soldiers were martyred during their duties in mine blasts
Defense ministry confirmed their martyrdom said nothing about the exact location of the incidents.
