Kapisa (BNA) Twenty-one Taliban insurgents were killed in an airstrike in Nijrab district of Kapisa last night.
The Taliban reportedly planned to attack security forces bases in the outskirts of Najrab district, when the air force intervened and targeted them.
The Special Operations Corps said in a press release that 21 Taliban insurgents were killed and several others wounded in the airstrikes.
The Taliban have not yet commented.
For several days now, parts of Najrab district have been under the control of the Taliban.
Senior military officials say they will soon clear Nijrab district from Taliban.
