Kabul (BNA) A seminar to mark the 150th birth anniversary of great scholar and politician Mahmoud Tarzi is scheduled to be held on 3rd September, BNA reported.
Speaking in the preliminary meeting here yesterday, Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen, the rector of UMEF Swiss University said that scholars and cultural figures in their speeches at the seminar would highlight various dimensions of the life late Mahmoud Tarzi.
Both Raheen and Ahmad Shah Sangdel the managing director of the university described the late Tarzi as great intellectual and founder of modern journalism in the country.
At the end of the meeting, a six-member commission was formed to discuss how to hold the seminar and anyone wants to present article has to submit it to the head office of Dunya University.
