ANSF Achievements Positively Affect Security

Kabul (BNA) Calling ensuring security their main priorities, the security entities are stressing that the Afghan security forces’ achievements positively affect security of the country.
Brig. Gen. Dawlat Waziri spokesperson for ministry of defense said, ‘it is a pleasure for Afghanistan to have ground and air forces who jointly conduct operations to suppress the enemies.’ He added that the ministry is making effort to conduct special operations in those provinces facing security threats, because, the enemies have done their best to insecure a number of provinces such as, Kunduz, Helmand, Takhar, Faryab and Sar-e-Pul, but they failed. Currently, the security situation in the mentioned provinces has got improved and the enemies sustained heavy casualties, he went on to say. If the regional intelligences don’t cooperate with insurgents, we will succeed in this war, he said, adding to end war in Afghanistan, the international community, particularly the U.S. should impose pressure on terrorism supporting countries. At the same time, lauding the Afghan security forces successes, Afghanistan’s national assembly stressed that to ensure security and all people should cooperation with their security forces.
A senator, Mohammad Alam Ezedyar said, ‘Afghanistan’s war has many factors, but the main one is the country’s geostrategic location among the regional countries.’ Existence of political differences, tribal discriminations, economic backwardness, corruption and narcotics are the factors behind paving the way for continued war in Afghanistan, he added. Fortunately, today Afghanistan is at the focal point of the world countries, thus, the government should not lose this golden opportunity and take the advantages, he continued. Differences between the government leaders will directly affect the security situation, a lawmaker, Salih Mohammad Saljouqi said, adding they should put all issues aside and make effort to restore security in the country. He added that strengthening of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF), visiting of martyrs’ families and soldiers in the battlefields, appointing eligible and patriotic people in frontlines and bringing changes in local administrations are the factors that can decrease violence and end war in the country. A number of military and political experts believe that a regional summit must be held to end war and maintain security and stability in Afghanistan. A veteran, Gen. Mohammad Sabour believes that terrorism is a global threat and unfortunately, Afghanistan has always been affected by this phenomenon. The Afghans hope one day, peace is restored in the country and everyone lives in a peaceful atmosphere, he added. Afghanistan has got improved in all sections and the world countries are doing their best to somehow ensure security in the country.
