KABUL (BNA): The Afghan Trans Railway project was a key topic of discussion between Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Uzbekistan.
The international media reported that this discussion took place during their meeting on the sidelines of the Kazan Summit in Russia. The project aims to connect Central Asia and South Asia (Pakistan and India) through a railway line passing through Afghanistan.
The project, which is estimated to be completed in five years, has garnered interest from several international organizations. These organizations have expressed their readiness to finance this significant economic venture in the region.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan views the “Afghan Trans Railway” project as a prime example of regional cooperation. They emphasize its potential to contribute to mutual growth and development.
