KABUL (BNA) Local officials of the Islamic Emirate in Helmand said that several hectares of poppy fields have been eradicated in some areas of the Kajaki district of the province.
Officials in the Kajaki district said that security forces eradicated several hectares of poppy fields in Now Abad, Sultan Rabat, and some other areas in the district.
This comes as the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has banned the cultivation of poppies in the country.
