ICRC Expresses Concern Over Insecurity In Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) An official for International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) to Afghanistan has expressed concern over insecurity in the country, saying that insecurity has caused that people were deprived from access to the organization’s services.
Monica Zara Nili, chairwoman of ICRC to Afghanistan has said natural incidents, continued insecurity and inaccessible of people to health centers were problems with which the organization was facing in the country.

"According to the ICRC official, there are challenges and a vulnerability of the staff of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to perform their work in Afghanistan – only in the past few months volunteers working for the Afghan Red Crescent Society in a number of districts and villages have been killed or kidnapped while delivering humanitarian services to people" 

She stressed that ICRC would keep its impartiality in friendly humanitarian services to victims in this country.
It is worth mentioning that ICRC has more than 1800 employees in Afghanistan where the committed provides health services to all people of the country.
