Kabul (BNA) Second Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Karim Khalili lauded Ruhullah Nikpa’s Olympic victory as follows:
Hero nation of Afghanistan, I am pleased that once again the hero son of this homeland, Ruhullah Nikpa by obtaining the bronze medal at the 2012 Games of London again hoisted the flag of Afghanistan alongside other heroes and medal winner’s countries.
I congratulate this valuable achievement to the nation of Afghanistan, especially the leadership of the National Olympic and his esteemed family members and call it indicator of the talent ability and capacity of the sons of Afghanistan towards growth of sports and prosperity of their nation.
I watched the matches of the athletes for my country and the brave struggle of Ruhullah Naikpa in all its stages and I prayed for their success.
I am hopeful that after this, these sons of this homeland are salvaged of the pains of war and violence and bring about more honors for the country.
I am hopeful that the brave youth of the country such as Nissar Ahmad Bahawe, also gain honors in his matches for the nation of Afghanistan and once again the name of this nation is registered in the medal winner countries of the world.
I ask my countrymen to pray for the success of Bahawe as well. The presence of our hopeful athletes at the London Olympic indicated that the people of Afghanistan despite the difficulties emanating from the past irregularities, are having the required capacities necessary for further growth of sports in this country.
The sports athletes that could not attain a medal should not become desperate and should be certain that they will succeed in future. With the hope of further successes of the athletes of the country.
