People To See Change In Life By Codifying National Standards, Massoud

Kabul (BNA) High Standard Council’s session was held yesterday under the chairmanship of Ahmad Zia Massoud, Special Envoy to President on Reforms and Good Governance.
Participants in the session discussed related to codification of standards, and suggestion draft of national standard administrative.
In the session, head of national standard administrative Popalzai Popa first delivered the department’s working report to the session, saying that a memorandum of understanding has been signed with AISA related to cooperation in various fields.
He added that 82 fuel tankers carrying more than 1.6 million lit fuel and were not suited with national standards have been rejected during the past two months.
Meanwhile, professional deputy for national department of norms and standards Mujib Rahman Khateer delivered a draft for increasing capacity of the department, saying that the draft would be not implemented without political support.
After hearing work reports and suggestions of members for high council of standards, special envoy to president on reforms and good governance said the delivered draft of the department for norms and standards was acceptable and would be delivered to the cabinet session.
He hoped that by codification of national standards the people of Afghanistan would see changes in their life.
