Comprehensive Plan Drafted For Transport Development

Kabul (BNA) Members of national transport committee has analyzed and reviewed comprehensive draft for creating durable city transport, suggesting that the plan would be implemented in Kabul city and other large cities of the country after approval by cabinet.
The plan included suggestions in connection with solution of all transportation problems of Kabul city including traffic and infrastructures according to national policy of transport. The draft has been prepared for solution of transport problems, ending traffic jams, pollution caused by transport systems, traffic incidents, high price and low quality of construction of transport infrastructures, administrative challenges and lack of capacity in relevant organs to transport of the country’s cities. Members of national committee of city transport by unanimously voting welcomed the draft and asked relevant organs for implementation of the plan. Special envoy to president on good governance and reforms Ahmad Zia Masoud by welcoming the plan instructed officials for ministry of urban development and Kabul municipality to share the plan with all relevant organs for better coordination and seeking visions in this regard and deliver it to coming cabinet’s session for approval.
