UN Warns of Crime Against Humanity in Israel’s Assault on Rafah

KABUL (BNA): The United Nations has sounded an alarm regarding Israel’s attack on Rafah.The spokesperson for the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has unequivocally stated that this assault could potentially constitute a crime against humanity, and such an outcome must be prevented.

Jeremy Laurence, speaking on behalf of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights office during a press conference in Geneva, emphasized the gravity of the situation.

He specifically referred to the concept of heinous crimes and underscored that the attack on Rafah falls within the category of crimes against humanity.

This is not the first time the United Nations has raised concerns about Israel’s actions. In the 55th session of the Human Rights Council, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights highlighted Israel’s alleged war crimes in Gaza and the West Bank, likening the situation to a bloodbath.
