UN Delegation Visits Situation of Expelled Immigrants in Hypothetical Line of Torkham

 

KABUL (BNA): The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation Affairs reported the visit of the delegation of the United Nations Humanitarian Aid Coordination Office to the hypothetical line of Torkham.

According to a statement from this Ministry, based on reports from the Refugees department of Nangarhar, Officials of the United Nations Humanitarian Aid Office visited the hypothetical border line of Torkham.

During their visit, the activities of the commission in Torkham were closely examined, with relevant information regarding identification, registration, and activities in the field of health and non-health services provided by the border authorities.

Officials from the International Organization for Migration and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) also shared information about their operations with border authorities, praising their full coordination with aid foundations and their efforts to address problems.

Bakht Jamal Gohar Khodran, the border commander of Torkham, praised their journey, stating that the Islamic Emirate is making every effort to facilitate the honorable return of migrants, provide them with initial assistance, and integrate them into their provinces, ensuring timely resolution of problems.

He added that they are grateful for the efforts made by aid foundations and are committed to creating more opportunities for them and solving their problems promptly.
