President Karzai Accepts Credentials of New Japanese Ambassador

Kabul (BNA) President Karzai accepted the credentials of the new Japanese ambassador to Kabul Hiroshi Takahashi.
Following the ceremony that was held at the President Palace the other day, the President and the ambassador discussed bilateral issues and expansion of tie between the two nations.
President Karzai appreciated the assistance of the Japanese government in the past ten years and wished the new ambassador success in his mission.
The ambassador expressed pleasure over the start of his mission in Afghanistan and conveyed the message of the Japanese emperor to President Karzai.
The Japanese emperor in his message has assured of continued Japanese assistance to Afghanistan and will further expand ties with the country.
The ceremony was also attended by deputy minister of foreign ministry Abdul Hai Haidar and head of the ministry’s protocol department Hamid Sedeeq.
