Government Elections Plan Irreversible, Khalili

Kabul (BNA) The Australian ambassador to Afghanistan met Mohammad Karim Khalili second vice-president discussing issues of mutual interest.
At the meeting the Australian ambassador explained the aim of the Australian Prime Minister and Minister of Defense visit to Afghanistan and to visit Uruzgan province as renewal of commitment of Australian government for continued support to Afghanistan.
Assuring over the continued support of his government to the people of Afghanistan he said that the Australian government supports the transition of security responsibility and holding of transparent, just and nationwide election in Afghanistan.
Considering the growing increase of migration in the world, the ambassador said that his country offers stay permission for the refugees coming through legal ways including the Afghan refugees.
Khalili thanked the ambassador for the cooperation of Australia and the presence of its forces in the war against terrorism in Afghanistan and the assistance of that country in reconstruction of Afghanistan and stressed that the people of Afghanistan will overcome the challenges with the cooperation of her international partners.
He also praised the assistance of the Australian government in offering stay permission to a great number of Afghan refugees and expressed the hope that the process of acceptance of the Afghan refugees in that country takes place in a way that the refugees’ problems are resolved.
Regarding the election he said that there is no other alternative rather than holding of the election in the country and the Afghan government’s decision in this respect is irreversible.
