Kabul (BIA) President Hamid Karzai chaired a meeting attended by Jehadi leaders, national and political personalities and high ranking state authorities was held yesterday at the Presidential Palace.
At this meeting, issues pertaining to holding of Traditional Loya Jirgah, with the participation of representatives of the people of Afghanistan were discussed in detail.
The participants expressed their viewpoints on all aspects of proceeding of Traditional Loya Jirgah including debate on the Afghan-US strategic treaty and peace talks and its methods of realization.
It was said at this meeting that though talks with the US on strategic treaty has not been finalized, however, consulting the people’s representative about this treaty is a necessity , so the Loya Jirga has to be held in the specified date in Kabul.
