First Round of Election Organized With Better Management: Khalili

Kabul (BNA) The British ambassador to Kabul Richard Stagg met Second Vice-President Mohammad Karim Khalili yesterday, reported the presidential press office adding that in this meeting, at the outset the British ambassador congratulated holding of the first round of presidential election to Afghan people and government and expressed hope that the second round of presidential election would be held with further measures and preparations.
He added that vast people participation in elections’ was a clear response to armed insurgents and emphasized on strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries, continuation of global assistance specially his adopted country with Afghanistan people and government.
Later on, Second Vice-President Mohammad Karim Khalili appreciating the cooperation of the British people and government in the last more than one decade with the Afghan people, called Britain one of the effective donor for Afghanistan and emphasized on expansion of bilateral relations between the two countries in different fields. Touching the first round of presidential elections, the Second Vice-President admired vast people participation in the election, clarified that the first round of election was organized with better management and the role of ANSF was outstanding in ensuring security of this process. He emphasized that the second round of election would be organized with security and transparency and the Afghan people would attend the polling stations vast than before.
