Kabul (BNA) The Afghan people remember Sawer 7 (April 27) as dark day in modern history of Afghanistan from where all their today’s problems have originated.
BNA political commentator comments on that regard as follow:
35 years ago on Sewer 7, 1357 (Afghan calendar) a group of short minded people, using the military opportunities they exercised conducted a bloody coup, killed mercilessly M. Daud the first Afghan president and  the members of his family including women and children.
What had happen on Sawer 7 was planned abroad of the country which was carried out by a few short minded people and foreign mercenaries.
They took the control of Kabul and established a left wing government and chanted slogans which were against all Afghan traditions and Islamic principles.
The wrong ideas, hurried actions and the ambitions of the leadership of this bloody and heinous coup dipped Afghanistan in an abyss of interferences of world great powers. The leaders of the coup were not qualified and competent enough to lead the people and just wanted by chanting deceiving slogans such as house, clothes, land for all and establishing workers’ government, ending feudalism etc to rule the people, while the above slogans had no any listeners and sympathizers in our community.  After they found out that the slogans had no any ground among the people, tried to impose their alien ideologies on our people by force.  The people resisted and the regime in different pretexts started the imprisonment and mercilessly killing thousands of workers, intellectuals and patriotic people, but did not succeed to ease the uprising of the people and further deepened social and economic problems of the country.
In this critical situation which seriously threatened the existence of the regime, its sponsor the then Soviet Unions’ red army shamefully and directly under the title of internationalism assistance invaded our country and caused bloodshed and destructions continue until now.
The military presence of the then Soviet Union’s one the two super powers of the time in Afghanistan this sensitive part of the world, made its western rivals at the top US react against the invasion and Afghanistan became the scene  of rivalries between the two super powers.  In the disputes Afghan people suffered the most casualties and destructions which sill continues.
The consequences of the coup were bitter and fatal for Afghans. The move of a few mercenaries and ignorant people who were supported and guided by foreigners engaged Afghanistan in devastating war during the last 35 years and provided the ground for the growth of terrorism and extremism in the region and interferences of foreign countries in interior affairs of the country.  As it mentioned earlier, the consequences of the more than three decade of war in Afghanistan were fatal and destructive for our people and still suffering from it, but the crisis taught as a lot to know better our enemies and friends and to work in complete unity toward protecting our national interests, independence and territorial integrity and to end the interference of foreign countries and to pave the way  for the development and progress of our homeland and tranquility of long time suffering people  and the upcoming generations.
