President Ghani Meets Urozgan Elders

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, in a meeting with elders of Urozgan province vowed to do more in security restoration and development of the province, the BNA reported the other day.
Three elders, including chairman of provincial council, Abdul Karim Khademzai, Minister of Frontiers and Tribes, Mohammad Gulab Mangal and Sonia Nilofar education representative spokes at the meeting, sharing their problems in different fields with the president, the agency quoted. According to agency, the president said security restoration was the responsibility of the government, saying under the National Security Council meeting, the issue was discussed and resolved that a wide operation should launched in the southern province for restoring security. He said security and stability are different-but linked with each other; security could come by using force, while stability could be tightened with efforts and cooperation from the people. The president, also said the work for linking the two provinces of Kandahar and Urozgan via the Noor Village’s route, which is the nearest way and that for the women problems, he asked for providing a plan to be presented to the presidential office, the agency added. Displaced people problems would also be tackled through a committee, after collecting precise information, warning those failing in their duty would be punished and those successful would be awarded, said the president as quoted by the agency. The president asked the elders for reopening the schools closed in the province, according to the agency.
