Kabul (BNA) Salahuddin Rabbani, Minister of Foreign Affairs met yesterday with Russian Ambassador to Kabul Alexander Mantytskiy here in Kabul.
The minister first briefed political and security condition of the country, asserting that the Afghanistan National Security Forces (ANSF), fully supported by the people, national figures and jihadi commanders, were able to defend the country.
Minister of foreign affairs praised Russia for its cooperation with Afghanistan in various sections as training of ANP and granting higher education scholarships to Afghan youths, asking for further cooperation in this regard.
Following, the Russian ambassador to Kabul by expressing concern over existence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan and region stressed on joint efforts of Afghanistan, Russian and regional countries against terrorists.
In the meeting, both sides also discussed political and security condition of Afghanistan, counterterrorism and relevant issues to region and the world.
